Sonal is a multidisciplinary design leader and practitioner with 16 years of experience spanning research, service design, product design and agile delivery working across financial services and the public sector.

Before consulting, Sonal worked in-house in financial services delivering change and transforming experiences for 65,000 colleagues and 30 million customers.

Son is fascinated by people over process and is at her best when she can design and develop experiences that make a difference to others and ultimately make their lives better.

She tries to be an authentic, values-driven leader and her teams describe her as calm, pragmatic, empathetic, collaborative and a creative problem solver. She works hard to create psychological safety and a sense of belonging in teams where people are empowered to grow and flourish.

She mixes tactical and strategic methods to gain and communicate a deep understanding of the problem we want to solve. She uses real-world data and insights to rapidly create, test, iterate and deliver ideas and solutions that meet business needs and customer goals.

Son is passionate about creating joined-up human-centric experiences that bring people joy. She believe that delightful products, propositions and services are created using simple, intuitive interactions which have a golden thread to a vision and purpose.
